Making Coffey County Great
Hello, my name is Jesse Knight, and I am running for the Republican seat for Coffey County Commissioner.
I have been married to my wife, Tracey Knight, for 26 years. Together, we have two children, Sydney (27) and Colby (23), and two grandchildren, Ellie and Brantley, both 2 years old.
My family has a long-standing farming background right here in Coffey County. We have been part of the Lebo area for many generations.
Growing up, I attended Lebo Elementary and Lebo High School, graduating in the spring of 1992.
In the spring of 1991, I joined the Coffey County Fire District #6 Volunteer Fire Department and served for over 20 years. After graduating in the spring of 1992, I spent the summer working at the Safeway Dog Food Plant in Emporia, Kansas.
In the fall of 1992, I started my own trucking business, Jesse Knight Trucking, which I operated until 1995.
My father, Terry Knight, and my brother, Jeff Knight, also had two semis and were involved in trucking. In 1995, the three of us decided to merge and establish Knight Trucking LLC.
Since the beginning of our merger, we have grown to over 35 trucks and trailers, and we have also formed Knight Brokerage and Knight Land LLC.
These milestones would not have been possible without the hard work of all three of our families and our loyal employees.
I am Jesse Knight, and I approve this message.
A local resolution to persevere and defend the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution and Section 4 of the Bill of Rights of the Kansas Constitution. (Jesse Knight introduced this resolution.)
